Final Stretch of Plant 2020!|Freedom To Farm

Welker Farms

Final push to finish plant 2020! We planted yellow peas, we planted spring wheat, and now the final crop of garbanzo beans. We have had many challenges to overcome but in the end the crop is planted and another chance at continuing our legacy is given.
We honor our fallen and lost who have served protecting our freedoms here in America. I personally am thinking about two airmen who lost their lives in military aircraft accidents, Lieutenant Alec Littler and Captain William Dubois.

@NightFox OS I am wondering if the person whom gave you this information is aware of what is called" Equalization Payments "are about. You should know, because the province of Quebec has been received them from the very beginning. For example the Province of Alberta pays to the Federal government for provinces like Quebec for a very long time. It's a list of provinces that have a reliable and steady financial structure from people who work and pay taxes. Alberta has paid into this tax for provinces that who are not like Alberta and claim they need assistance to be equal to all of Canadas Provinces. I suggest that you take the time to find out the truth. Then you may wish to retract your comment /comments about Quebec and what it unfairly pay? Quebec cannot afford to be without receiving it's yearly equalization payments that The Federal Government payed to The Province of Quebec. More time spent trying to be more self efficency like Alberta is and has been doing would be more suitable then trying to sound that Quebec is being taxed unfairly would be a direction best or in Quebec interest.

Very sorry that I viewed this late. Welker family, you are a wonderful, patriotic, faithful family. My salute to you. Nick, thank you very much for specifically pointing out servicemen that you knew and are now gone. That's what I do regularly, and definitely on Memorial Day. It is just and right that we remember those that served and gave that ultimate sacrifice, whether due to combat or during the constant training that the military goes through. Your military salute by flying the branch's flags was awesome! (A recommendation if I may, in the future can you perhaps play that branch's music while their flag is flown?) Keep up the great work, and God Bless. 24 year retired US Marine. Semper Fi!

    32. Tim Maslyn

Excellent Tribute to Our American Services and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. As a U.S. Air Force veteran, and growing up working on a dairy farm, I feel incredibly blessed to live in our great country and I am sincerely thankful for those who served, and those who ultimately gave their life. My prayers to the family and friends of those lost and those who are missing their loved-ones at this time (myself included - my step-son is serving in the U.S. Army currently in South Korea). May God Bless Your Family and All that you do, and may He bless you with Abundance in your fields this year. Keep up your hard work and dedication, we need more of that in our world and you provide a really great example of it.

    33. Jason Landon

Did I spy at about 13:30 you guys finally getting a red tractor on the farm????!!!! Looked like a W9 or maybe a W6 on the gooseneck behind the Duramax.

    34. TheHilander

Im a Navy veteran, My Dad and son Marines, Nephew AirForce, Grandfather Army we thankyou for flying our flags. Thanks to all who served.

    35. Cody

Coast Guard is still not a real branch. The Space Force is more of a branch than they are.

    36. Boris Fett

Great idea with flying the flags. Also it would be cool if Mike Rowe showed up on your farm one day.

    37. Terry Martin

Though technically part of the Department of Homeland Security not Department of Defense, you missed the Coast Guard. Let's not forget about them.

Can't think of anything more American than those flags flying on the vast acres of American farmland. Thank you, Welkers, for doing that, and, thank you to all who have served or are serving! With certain states and governors trying to walk all over our Flag and the Constitution this year, we need to all stop and give thanks for all who gave their lives so we could live free, and re-claim our Rights as a democracy in the Greatest Country in the world!!

      1. Robert Welker

        Agree fully. Amen

    56. Tom B.

This is my first time commenting and I really enjoy your videos. I'm retired and every morning I watch farming videos. I haven't figured out if I'm a want-a-be farmer or I just enjoy watching everyone working hard. I appreciate the time you take out of your busy lives to make us these excellent videos. I was in the military, coal mines (220' deep) and 40 years in law enforcement, 34 as a Trooper. Thank you and God bless.

      1. Robert Welker

Thank you for your service. You have had many experiences under your belt. Thanks for following us. 👍

Thank you for your recognition of the branches of service! Your patriotism is always on display and very heartening for all veterans to observe!

      1. Robert Welker

We are honored to be able to for them

    65. Morgan Adair

A well done tribute, we thank you back as it was my duty and pleasure. It also was a very long time ago... I will never forget. I think that this video took all the glamour out of being a farmer. I won't be surprised if case puts showers on some tractors... nasty job. I still don't understand why so many augers... they are very necessary for sure but isn't there a easier way of moving grain.?? I see every thing but bathtubs catching this stuff and then there is still a mess. Kinda surprised that where they spilled on the ground there isn't big patch's of corn or beans or peas growing in a big jumbled mess. Just from what I have been watching on farms, you almost have to see what everyone else is planting to keep prices up as if everyone comes in and the all have corn then there is a glut... just something to ponder on

    66. Kyler Stephan

I like your "Carhartt" shirt, Nick

    67. Dan Wortmann

I served proudly! But I did not sacrifice like so many do in many ways! I think of every day and pray for you! # heart of solider

    68. Chazz Mate

Our 9420rx has a vibration sound when turning tight left hand down coming from the uni joint area i think. Could be similar issue as the bud. How did you know it was the yoke?

    69. Hayley Dorward

How much head is how much Aces how much has how much big buds how much snow is how much bones do you have on the farm

    70. Al Dozler

Thank You Welker Farms for recognizing all the Armed Services on this Memorial Day. PERFECTO! Especially for all those we have lost!

how on earth is it that Cole the corn star is 6k subs ahead of you guys? as a young farmer myself you guys have inspired me to start making farming videos hope you guys get good weather over there in Montana as down under we've been experiencing quite the rare dust storm and its making it hard to continue seeding & spraying God bless guys!

    72. Crushing Vanessa3

The POW/MIA flag touched me the most even though I have nothing to do with the military. Just wonder there's no peacekeeper/UN flag flown.

      1. Crushing Vanessa3

@Robert Welker That's ok, was just asking, but do wonder that when I do see the flags flown at events. I also don't get out much so maybe it has been.

      2. Robert Welker

We flew the flags that was sent to us or we had.

    73. Lance Dever

Thank you for the tribute to the armed forces at the end of the video. Very nicely done. Could feel your frustration with getting the chickpeas going.

      1. Robert Welker

It can get frustrating but we figured it out and it went smooth. Too tight clearances. Fixed it by removing the wear strip.

    74. J Hammer

Some people fly the flag because it's a cool thing to do, but I see that deep down you are genuine and a true patriot! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to honor my fellow brother's and sister's past and present!!!!! It's sad to hear about men and women who had their check cashed way to early for our freedom and for the freedom of people of other countries under cruel leaders!!! ALL GAVE SOME!! SOME GAVE ALL!!

      1. Robert Welker

Agree. Thank you all who served

Thanks for remembering too thank our veterans and flying of flags is a awesome way too show respect.

      1. Robert Welker

Appreciate the honor we have to show respect.

    77. Jeannan Keefe

I know this may be a little random, but with no till doesn't the soil get compacted causing root and absorption Problems? Do you or shouldn't you still till every couple years to avoid this. The fields look full of un-decomposed material. Just curious?

      1. Jeannan Keefe

@Robert Welker Thank you for the explanation to a non-farmer.

      2. Robert Welker

We get the benefit of frozen ground during the winter. It breaks up the compaction. The problem in our area is tilling hurts the soil microbs by destroying quickly the organic matter. And we are short on OM.

    78. Anthony Sprank

    79. Kevin Lesch

Well done with the flags. I don't think I can say more
